Valcourt, Québec, September 14, 2012 – BRP today announced it will exit the sport boat business over the coming months, citing the continued global sales decline in the marine industry, particularly the drop in sales of sport boats since the financial crisis.
"This is a difficult but necessary decision for BRP," said José Boisjoli, president and CEO. "We worked hard to grow our sport boat business through a serious sales decline that began in 2007. But now, we must focus our research and development resources and capital investments in areas of our business that offer greater growth potential."
March 3rd, 2011 – Valcourt, Quebec - BRP’s 2011 Sea-Doo X-TEAM Bounty program will offer bigger payouts and support first time Sea-Doo watercraft racers with contingency funds covering entry fee costs.
BRP continues to lead the watercraft industry in grassroots racing support with the 2011 Sea-Doo X-Team Bounty racer contingency program. New for 2011 is the X-TEAM First Timer program that will virtually allow first time Sea-Doo watercraft owners to try racing for free*. First time racers competing in the new box-stock class on Sea-Doo X-series watercraft will receive a one-time Sea-Doo X-TEAM Bounty contingency equal to the race entry fee*.
Miami, FL, February 17, 2011 – BRP was presented four awards at the recent Miami International Boat Show for its new class-leading Sea-Doo GTI SE watercraft and new Sea-Doo 230 SP boat including: the National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA) Innovation Award, PWC of the Year from PWCToday.com, and two Excellence in Design Awards from Trailer Boats magazine. This is the third consecutive NMMA Innovation award for BRP's Sea-Doo watercraft.

Valcourt, Québec, October 14, 2010 – BRP has been awarded the 2010 Eco Award from Boating magazine for the development and implementation of a new technology designed to maximize fuel-efficiency called “ECO mode” on the Sea-Doo 210 Challenger boat.
BRP’s ECO mode is the newest function of the intelligent Throttle Control (iTC) system on select Sea-Doo watercraft and boats. BRP’s fuel-efficient ECO mode has been engineered to provide boating families the best value for their recreational budgets by maximizing their fun per- gallon (litre). It is one of many new, customizable power delivery modes featured on the Sea-Doo 210 Challenger boat that gives the captain more control than ever before.
Essen, Germany, July 5, 2010 – BRP receives a red dot award in the product design category for its 2010 Sea-Doo 210 Challenger SE sport boat. This is BRP's seventh red dot award since 2005.
The red dot design award is awarded by the Design Zentrum Nordrhein Westfalen in Essen, Germany. Since 1955 the red dot awards honour outstanding design quality and trendsetters in the fields of product design, communication design, and design concepts. This year 1,636 companies from 57 countries for a total of 4,252 entries submitted their projects to the jury.
